Fusion is H2O's cell group ministry. Fusion cells are student led with some oversight and a fair bit of help from H2O staff. To learn more about what Fusion is, the leaders for each "cell", and where and when each cell is located, check out the information below.

What Fusion is
Fusion is a weekly gathering of U of M students which usually has been 5 to 15 students attending. It's more than just a Bible study. Fusion cells are intended to be "safe places" where members can meet new friends, grow in Christ, and talk about anything they want. There is at least one trained Fusion leader in each cell. Over each cell is a "Fusion Coach" who assists in the Fusion leaders in any way necessary. The goal of each Fusion cell is to grow and gain enough people to split into two new Fusion cells next year (so why it's called "Fusion" instead of "Fission" we still don't know). Since Fusion cells are student led and run, the time, place, activities, and direction of the Fusion cell are entirely controlled by the cell members. Thus, Fusion is exactly what you want it to be. The only constant is that everyone is welcome and loved.
The "4 Ws":
Fusion leadership training teaches each leader about the "4 Ws". The Ws are "Welcome", "Worship", "Word", and "Witness". They are intended to be guides for the leaders on making sure that the cells are healthy and members are growing in God and growing closer to each other. Of course, Fusion leaders and members are welcome to change how the cell is run to best suit everyone involved.
Welcome
The Welcome W is just about making people feel welcomed, being hospitable, and being a community together. Commonly Welcome involves food... because everyone loves free food.
Worship
The Worship W is about worshipping God in any way that people want. Sometimes we'll sing songs, other times we'll switch it up and make some music by banginging pots, pans, and trash cans, while other times we'll just tell people what we're thankful to God for.
Word
The "Word" W is about diving into the Bible and seeing how it applies to our lives today. We believe that the Bible is a living book, inspired by and given to us by God, that is still as applicable today as it was when it was written thousands of years ago. Thus, it's important that our Fusion members read it and talk about with each other. People generally learn best in a group where they can safely discuss their thoughts and ideas with other people. We might not all agree with each other 100% of the time but we certainly respect each other and can talk to each other about what we think.
Witness
The "Witness" W is where each Fusion cell focuses on other people outside of the cell. We do this because we love everyone in the world, regardless of what they may think of us, and because we have been commanded to do so.
Our cells:
As you may have noticed from our calendar page, we here at H2O are big fans of Google. That includes Google Maps. We have therefore created a map for you showing you the location of each of our Fusion cells.

Hopefully this can help you find a cell that you like. We encourage you to read about our cell leaders below.
East Quad Cell
The East Quad cell is located in East Quad on Central Campus. Students with a meal plan can get in just by swiping their MCard, students without a meal plan can ask a leader or another member to let them in. The East Quad Fusion cell will meet in the East Quad Green Lounge on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM.
Cell Leader: Abby Wheeler
I'm a sophmore studying social sciences (LSA) with intentions of going to graduate school for a degree in social work. I'm from Findlay, OH... but don't worry- I'm a huge wolverine fan. My favorite color is blue and I love ice cream!
I joined H2O last year because it offers a really great community of Christians trying to fulfill the will of God in the midst of college craziness! My fusion cell group is for women of any age, race, or background that are curious about or already pursuing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. So, come one, come all, to glorify God with us!
Cell Apprentice: Lindsay Klebba

Betsy Barbour Cell
The Betsy Barbour Cell is located in Betsy Barbour (which is right next to Helen Newberry) very near the Union. Although Betsy Barbour is a women's only dorm, men are more than welcome to come to cell meetings. The exact place within Betsy Barbour and time for the meetings will be determined by the leaders after discussing it with cell members.
Cell Leader: Soo-Min Han

North Campus Cell
The North Campus cell is located in the Northwood III lounge in building 2145 but is intended to service the entire north campus area. Anyone is welcome to come. The cells meets weekly on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM. The Northwood Bus is an easy and excellent way to get close to the North Campus cell with minimal walking.
